I had another bleeding episode that landed me/us back in the hospital. After some talking, we decided to have a C-section. At that point it was to risky for me to have a natural birth. So off we go into the surgical room- which was very COLD. The first time I was actually cold this whole pregnancy. At 5:03pm was the first cut and by 5:08AM HE was born!!! Dr. Kells forgot that we didn't know what we were having and said calmly, "heres your boy." or something about a boy. After a few seconds of thinking what he said, I looked at Eric who has this HUGE unforgetable smile on his face and said, "Did we have a boy?!?!?" He looked at me, and said, "YES! We have our boy." One of the memories that I will cherish forever. The birth of our boy!
He was born 4 weeks early and technically is consider a preemee. However, he isn't by looking at him. His STATS:
Name: Caden Christopher McB (same mid. name as his Daddy)
Birth Date: Aug. 28th, 2008
time: 5:08am
Weight: 6.9IBS
Length: 19 1/2 Inches
Brown Hair
Dark newborn Blue Eyes
Olive Skin
HEalthy all the way around. So by all of that, he isn't really a pree-mee. But since he is 4 weeks early, they say he is. His lungs are great- breathed on his own. And did everything that he was suppose to do. WE all came home on Saturday late afternoon.
Ellie loves him, but is very jealous of him. She LOVES his toes, and asks to see them all the time. She points out his eyes, ears, mouth, nose, hair, arm, fingers and her favorite TOES! She will even ask to hold him. And she gives him lots of hugs and loves. But then on the flip side she would rather him not be in our arms. Since I had a C-section I am not able to pick her up and carry her. Which is very sad for her and me. Breaks my heart sometimes. But I am getting around a lot better and is learning to climb into my lap to hold her. I can move, and get up and down so I am able to play with her on the floor. Still a lot of healing to do, but I am getting by.
I will post pictures of my new little angel and my baby angel soon.
Love to all and thank you for all your prayers. They were much needed and appreciated. Even though he was born really early, he is doing great and I believe thats because of the prayers that were lifted up on your behalf. God had is healing hand on the both of us and everything turned out great.

Congratulations!!!
I had 2 c-sections and I had forgotten until you wrote about it, how cold the O.R. is. I can remember feeling like I should be able to see my breath.
You will feel better soon and be up and around in no time, it is amazing how quickly our body can heal from a c-section, enjoy your downtime and rest when your kids rest!
So excited for you!
CONGRATS! Wow, a boy. It's been a long time coming in the Rhineh. family. Can't wait to see the photos of your new precious angel. God Bless!
The best advice I got when I had Reagan was from one of the nurses she told me that if both children were crying to tend to the older one because they will know. The newborn does not know nor will they remember. I did that and it was a much easier transition for Christopher. Love you.
Thanks!! I know a boy! Everyone thought our baby was going to be girl. They were wrong!!! ha ha ha :)
I've been sleeping when Ellie sleeps so she doesn't go without seeing me and Caden sleeps ALL the time. Which is great so that I can get my rest and recover faster. Thats what I've been doing- when I know Ellie will be seeing me I put him down so that my lap is available for her. And when she is upset and I'm nursing him, I pop him off to tend to her. And thats been helping a lot better. When E gets home, he takes Caden and Ellie and I go outside to play or to her play room for one on one time. Which of course I love. Then before bed time we read books, sing songs and snuggle. Thats made a big difference the last couple of days. However, she still is jealous but getting a lot better with him being here. Thankfully- because he aint going back- ha ha ha :)
But thanks ladies. :) I am soo excited about our son.
Casey! congrats he's beautiful!!!
and I love his name.
