Since we've been back from KY, Ellie likes to be rocked to sleep or almost to sleep. Which E & I love- she nuggles with us. (backing-up). During the cold nights, I would grab one of her bigger blankets and wrap my legs in it. (going forward). So one night-early morning, I grabbed a blanket, and she saw that I had *my* blanket and she needed hers. So, she bent down and grabbed hers with a cute little smile. :) (Love her smiles!!) Now when I walk into her room she is either holding her blankie or bending down to get it.
Her new thing is, if we stick her down to early in her bed she will roll over, pick her blankie up, with this oh so cute serious face, holding out her blankie and in her own words asking us to rock her some more. So you go to pick her up, and she will nuggle in your arms with her blankie next to her face and go to sleep as I rock her.
If only I could capture that look on camera- but it is embedded in my heart forever.

ah... i love my 'nuggle boy, Kellar! it's one of the few times he'll be still. i love the fact that he initiates it too! enjoy these precious moments - they fly all too fast!
