Ellie took her first real good spill tonight at church.
Backing up though. Before that she was eating Grapes and Cantaloupe(sp?). Moving forward. She is being chased by some of older girls at church and having fun. Then she biffs it and real good. My Dad is holding her as she is screaming bloody marry (which she never does. So I know its not a good one). As I go to grab her I look in her mouth to see that her lower lip, teeth are covered in BLOOD! Then as I look closer it appears that her teeth are in her lower lip or that she biffed it so good that she bit off a chunk of her inside lip.
FREAK ME OUT!!!!!
SO I lay her down in my lap to get a better and closer look in her mouth to see what is going on in there. THANKFULLY, and I do mean THANKFULLY (Or Thank You, Lord) that she still had Grapes and Cantaloupe in her mouth. So no lower lip is missing. However, she did take a good bite/gash in her mouth. She cried for a while, then nursed, then cried some more and then just sat in my lap and snuggled for a bit.
I believe if E had of been there that we would be on our way to the ER. As of now, he still has not heard her biffing story (he's playing softball with Gateway boys/men).
Then about 20 min. later or less she was back on the floor playing and laughing and acting as if nothing ever happened. My heart still beats fast when I think about what I *saw* and happened.
Shy of 16 months and we still haven't made an ER visit and I plan on keeping it that way for another 16= YEARS!!! God willing- which He better since it is my will. :) Love you GOD.
Ok- so thats my 1st scare with Ellie. Thank my Lord she is ok and so am I. ha ha ha
